If farmers had the same odds of forecasting success as weathermen (roughly 51 percent) we'd be living high off the hog, milking it all the way to the bank at least 49 percent of the time.

Unlike the weatherman who traffics entirely in the inevitable, a farmer must forecast soil temps, seed quality, pest management, disease, etc, etc..., enough to sound like a female gasbag. Oh yeah, and there's the weather that affects the farmer. Hard to forget about that for a woman that works outdoors all day with plants that crave the sun.
