FOI: Convict Lake Clean-up

Join Friends of the Inyo, MLTPA and event sponsor Convict Lake Resort for a day of trail work and trash cleanup around beautiful Convict Lake! Help the FOI crew complete major improvements to fishing access points along the trail, tidy up the stream bed at the lake's inlet and just generally get things in great shape on this national day of service.
We supply the work projects and tools, Convict provides a delicious lunch and there are even raffle prizes to be had.
When: Saturday, September 11 (8:30 a.m.)
Where: Convict Lake Resort (meet at the resort, then walk to work sites).

BUHS Soccer Team: Car Wash

The BUHS Boys Soccer team is having a car wash, send your friends and family to get their car washed! Drive-ups are more than welcome, come out and support this local organization reach their goal.

Gamer Baseball: Professional One-on-One Lessons

Cost:
- One, 30 minute lesson = $40.00
- Two, 30 minute lessons = $75.00
- Three, 30 minute lessons = $110.00
- Four, 30 minute lessons = $140.00
Other than the position of catcher, they will work with you on any skill you would like. Jason will be conducting all of the pitching lessons along with some hitting, and Kevin will be conducting most of the hitting lessons with some fielding.

Black Sheep Espresso Bar: New Photography Show - A Closer Look
The Black Sheep Espresso Bar is proud to present a new collection of art by four local photographers. The show is titled `A closer look`, and exhibits detail oriented photography at the Espresso Bar from August 30th to October 10th.

This show is meant to be the start-up to a bi-annual series - the 5 x 2 Project - which will be calling for submission of local art on a specific topic.

Black Sheep Espresso Bar: "Drink and Think" Trivia Night

`Drink and Think` is the spirit of the newly installed monthly Group Trivia Night at the Black Sheep Espresso Bar.
After a fun and well received Trivia Night in August, the Black Sheep barristas decided to host a monthly event taking place every first Friday.
Although light refreshment and some snacks will be provided, everyone is encouraged to bring their own beverages. Start will be at 7:30 p.m.
When: First Fridays - Sept. 10 (due to Labor Day), Oct. 1, Nov. 5 (7:30pm)

Tri-County Fair: Kid's Day
Saturday, Sept. 4 - Kids' Day Bike Giveaway! Unfortunately Ronald McDonald had car problems and couldn't make it to the gig, but Loren Bebensee the CHSRA Queen happily took his place. Pictured below with McDonald's owners Liz and Kevin Mazzu! We'll announce the bike winners soon! Congrats and thanks on behalf of the kids who got into the fair for free Saturday thanks to McDonalds - I'm lovin it!

Mono Council for the Arts
Great art, great time in Mammoth. Just in time for the Bear Whisperer Animal Planet series premiere of the second season we heard one of the vendors was chased and scratched by a bear, yikes! Welcome to the wild wild west. Great job Gaye and the rest of the Mono Council for the Arts, we look forward to next year!


Tri-County Fair: Time to pick up your entries

EXHIBIT PICK-UP SCHEDULE - NEW!
Tuesday, September 7th (9:00 am - 7:30 pm) All Exhibits Must Be Picked Up
IMPORTANT…
All premium checks will be mailed. Exhibitor or exhibitor’s representative must present claim check to pick up items.
Please plan to pick up your exhibit items, ribbons and awards on Tuesday (9/7) between 9:00 am - 7:30 pm. We will not have exhibit staff available to assist you after Tuesday (9/7), nor do we have a safe & secure place to store your items.
Perishable items (foods, flowers, agriculture) will be discarded or donated to food bank after 1:00 pm on Tuesday (9/7). Any exhibit left after 90 days becomes the property of the Tri-County Fair.
